THE BIRTH OF ONEIDA NATION: TRIBAL VILLAGE IMMERSION

Your journey will begin at the edge of the woods, awaiting your invitation to come into the Oneida Village. Visitors will enter the longhouse with the creation story, the start of time for the Oneidas. Learn about their way of life, clans, pottery, the Iroquois Confederacy. Imagine surviving the 1700s when the Oneida way of life is put to the test, and how the tribe's territory gets caught up in the Revolutionary War.
As pressures from the U.S. Government, the State of New York and other parties mount, the Oneidas must journey to the Michigan Territory. Hear an incredible story of perseverance.
Along the way, visitors will meet pivotal people from Oneida's history to learn to cook and taste an Oneida staple. This staple was the Oneida white corn.
A visit to the General Store and Gift Shop is the perfect ending to this once in a lifetime event. This tour is an up-close and personal way to experience native culture!
